The Direct Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan (UzDIF) and the AIFC Green Finance Center (AIFC GFC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The document is aimed at developing the corporate green bond market in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as providing information about potential issuers interested in issuing sustainable bonds, as well as stimulating an increase in the volume of green bond issues in the national market. AIFC GFC is the only accredited verifier for compliance with international standards CBI (Climate Bonds Initiative) and ICMA (International Capital Markets Association) in Central Asia. UZDIF is the main partner of AIFC GFC in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This partnership will provide an opportunity to support sustainable development and promote environmental and social responsibility in the business community of Uzbekistan, as well as the development of the local capital market, including through the attraction of socially oriented international investors.
